Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 23 October 2026
1. Who we are and what this agreement covers
Fmaps ("Fmaps", "we", "us") provides a personal financial-management and planning service at fmaps.tech. These terms form the agreement between you and Fmaps for your use of the website, the application and any related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.
2. Fmaps is not a financial adviser
The Service helps you record accounts, transactions, budgets, goals and forecasts, and produces reports such as balance sheets and cash-flow statements. It does not provide personal financial product advice, tax advice, credit advice or investment recommendations, and nothing in the Service should be read as such. Figures, forecasts and reports are estimates derived from the information you enter. Before making a financial decision you should consider your own circumstances and, where appropriate, obtain advice from a licensed professional.
3. Eligibility and your account
- You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into this agreement.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter and for keeping your login credentials confidential.
- You must tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your authorisation.
- One account is for one person. You must not share your credentials or allow another person to use your account.
4. Acceptable use
You must not use the Service to break any law, to interfere with its operation or security, to attempt to access another person's data, to upload malicious code, or to scrape or resell the Service. We may suspend or close an account that we reasonably believe is being used in breach of these terms.
5. Your data and third-party information
You keep ownership of the information you enter. You grant us the limited licence needed to store, process and display it so we can operate the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy. Currency exchange rates and other reference data come from third parties and may be delayed, approximate or unavailable; they are provided for convenience only.
6. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the Service available, but we do not promise uninterrupted access. We may change, add or remove features, and we may take the Service offline for maintenance. Where a change materially affects your rights we will give reasonable notice through the Service or by email.
7. Fees
The Service is currently free. If we introduce paid plans we will tell you the price and any changes before they apply, and you will be able to cancel.
8. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, and to the extent permitted by law, Fmaps is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss arising from decisions you make using the Service, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the previous 12 months or AUD $100.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service and archive your account at any time from the account settings page. Archiving pauses access but keeps your financial records; you can ask to reactivate the account later. We may suspend or close an account if these terms are breached, or if we discontinue the Service, giving reasonable notice where we can.
10. Intellectual property
The Service, its software, design and branding are owned by Fmaps or its licensors. These terms do not give you any right to copy, modify or distribute them, except as needed to use the Service normally.
11. No scraping or copying
The Service is provided for your own use through the interface we publish. You must not, and must not let anyone else:
- copy, reproduce, republish, sell or redistribute the Service, its content, its design or its code, except for the personal, non-commercial use the Service itself provides;
- use any robot, spider, scraper, headless browser, browser extension or other automated means to access, monitor, extract or collect data from the Service — including your own account data, which you can download through Export my data instead;
- use the Service or its content to build, train or improve another product, including a machine-learning model;
- frame, mirror or embed the Service in another site, or remove or obscure any copyright notice, logo or branding.
Search engines may index the public pages within the rules in our robots.txt. Nothing in this clause prevents that, and nothing in these terms excludes any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
If this clause is breached we may suspend or close the account, and we may take technical or legal steps to stop automated collection.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always on this page, with the date above. If a change is significant, we will notify you before it takes effect; continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated terms.
13. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and the courts of that state have non-exclusive jurisdiction. Questions about these terms can be sent through our contact page at https://www.fmaps.tech/contact/.
